3 1/2' over full now.
Medina is now 40' low, came up around 30' last night.
Choke is just up a smidge so far. Where are you getting this info? Texas water Data is showing a lot less in Medina

Jessie X they have to start releasing water pretty soon if they haven't already. There not going to make the same mistake they did last flood. I remember it went 6ft over the spillway, and what a sight to see. They can't open it up, the San Marcos, Blanco and Guadalupe are in flood now. I would hate to be that guy who has to make the decision to open those gates. There is too many people living along the river and they can't take much water before it floods their homes. If it goes over the spillway which is again possible if more rains come those people down below better be packed and ready to go, which I'm sure a lot of them that saw what happened the last time are ready.

Yep, looks like they may be opening those gates. If they open them, they will flood everyone downriver. The San Marcos and Guadalupe are approaching flood stage now, and are expected to reach historical levels. Luling is already getting waters up to houses. If they send more water from Canyon, there is no where for it to go.

Hopefully it won't reach the spillway like it did in 02.

I just got an update from GBRA. They now say the Guadalupe at Gonzales will crest sometime Monday night and Tuesday morning at 44.3 feet. That is 1.7 feet below what floods houses in Gonzales.

Lake level at 923.24 and counting. We got pounded again yesterday and last night. People better start doing some serious thinking if they live down stream. They said we should get a couple of days with a little bit of sunshine. We shall see.

http://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/canyon/NOTICES Posted: 28 May 2015 Canyon Lake has 60 percent of its flood storage capacity remaining, and the Corps will make significant flood releases once it has been determined that doing so will not worsen downstream flooding. The Corps will continue to monitor and use every resource available to help prevent further flooding downstream. The goal is to recover 100 percent of our flood storage capacity but we will not do this at the expense of our downstream communities. We are not releasing due to current down stream water levels, and do not wish to add to the complications. Each day we will reassess the flood levels down the river and determin IF we might release and how much. Please be patient. We will notify the public IF and When we do start releasing larger quantities.
