What do you mean that they can't recover their boats? Motors dragging the asphalt?

What do you mean that they can't recover their motors? Bud said the old launch has huge rocks people are hitting with their motors when they try to recover their boats. He is supposed to send me some video. Should be pretty entertaining. He said launch 1 is a complete mess with the pleasure boaters and should be avoided at all cost. I am avoiding canyon lake.

Ahhh makes sense. I've never launched up there or down there depending on how you look at it. I think people would be crazy to hit the water right now.

How did the fishing go Jesse?
How come I keep catching small fish when every product I buy is supposed to catch more and bigger fish?

I did not go fishing on Canyon. No way would I be on that lake right now. No safe way to launch and recover my boat. It's not worth it.
If I was a yaker, I bet some good fishing is to be had in the back of some of these flooded coves.

That's absolutely crazy. Someone's going to tear up their boat or wave runner, or even worse, themselves. Too many unknown objects under the water now to be safe.

That's absolutely crazy. Someone's going to tear up their boat or wave runner, or even worse, themselves. Too many unknown objects under the water now to be safe. That is why they have to end up closing launches to protect those numb skulls who have no common sense! Those people should be required to carry a sign! The lake may look clean, but there are all kinds of docks, trees, boards that are floating just at water level that can't be seen, yet they'll be running WOT all over the lake even near the shorelines.

With many of the warning signs under water, it may be best to unblock the ramps and let nature take its course. Canyon Lake is unforgiving to those who fail to respect nature.
It won't be rescues on the lake. It will be recovery.

A lot of those people that are pulling boats out were trying to stay ahead of someone closing the ramp, but the water came up so fast that now they are panicked wanting to pull out before they get to the point where they can't, and now they are using the side of the ramps where all the rocks and barracades are that are now just under the water.
