Wow! Planned on going there saturday. Well that's frustrating. Any time frame on being reopened?

They reported it was an effort to keep docks from being damaged by wakes.

I feel like if this wasn't memorial day weekend, a few local lakes would still be open. Frustrating as all get out.

Property tax revenue is far more than they would collect from boat ramp fees. If you haven't figured it out already, lake front homeowners always win over fishermen.

Monday I was flipping into lawn chairs and swimming pool ladders...they don't want their furniture swept away by the wakes created by watercraft.

The property tax revenue is inelastic...it will come in no matter what. The boat ramp revenue is another story. My feeling is they don't want to have to deal with the problems of a flooded lake and memorial day weekend.
