They are releasing 9,000 CFS but inflow is still 50,000 CFS. At least it will slow the rise a bit.

Don't you read other post. Texoma is a flood control Lake. They will not release water until it is at 640. Then just enough to keep it there. The only way that will change is if the river below the dam goes down. They are releasing what the normally do, even in a drought period.
Check the corp web site.

Check the corp web site. Not quite right. The spillway is at 640 so it's an uncontrolled overflow at that level, regardless of downstream conditions. Their objective is to never get to 640. Conservation pool is 617 and that's the baseline target, although the target level changes depending on the season.

There actually was a lift down in the flood gates area about two weeks ago doing some kind of work. What is the level the guage at DeKalb has to get too before they can open the gates?

Posted on the Bank Fishing section but may be useful to others here.... Here is the post from our weblog from back in 2008 that shows how to read the real time release table. March 6, 2008
Interesting is that it shows 5,200 CFS to 11,075 CFS between 1600 and 1815 on 06MARCH2008.
A look at 2145 19MAY2015 shows 9,000 CFS.
May be seeing some pictures from other TFF Members in the near future!

Website shows gates now open. It is either open them or it definitely goes over spillway. Spillway will be uncontrolled. My bet is it is going over with recent rains and more on the way. Unfortunately I would bet on Broken Bow also going over.

I heard a small tornado hit Big Mineral Camp last night. Anyone know the damage?
