After taking a couple years off from hitting the lake regularly, my son is finally able to go and enjoy fishing with me! At two years old, he is getting it down pretty good! If you are looking for a great place to catch a nice variety of sunfish I would suggest Cabela's on I35@170. It's a very clean and safe place for kids to fish and plenty of fish to catch! Be sure to go in a ask permission beforehand as required by Cabela's policy. I assume for safety and closure reasons. (I have never been told no) Rig #6 long shank hook with a small weight about 12 inches above the hook. Float about 4 ft above the hook using small bits of night crawlers. (Sorry if the pics are huge, mobile PB has limited editing capabilities)

They didn't enjoy fishing as much as they did catching. But one of my sons in College is finally coming back around. We have gotten to fish together a couple times this year. He might just end up being a fisherman too.

Love seeing post like this. Super job to the young angler and a GREAT job to Dad for taking the time to spend with his son. Memories with a lot more to be made. Also fishing pals for life.

Thats awesome. I thank my Grandad, Dad and Step Dad every day for introducing me into fishing at an early age.
