When I was a kid my dad would use goldfish for catfishing.we would do really good with them.my sisters would sneak in the bucket and save a couple for pets.
I would rather have a bad day fishing,than a good day at the office!

Funny thing is they are illegal to use here in Florida as bait. I didn't believe it at first and checked it out myself.

Just cruise by the fishing pier at Purtis Creek. They use them like crazy out there.
The only true intercontinental champion.

Goldfish are VERY good catfish bait...we've had very good luck with them on jug lines or on a rod & reel.

I have used them as catish bait, before don't recall the trip. So it may not have been that good. But I do buy them for the summer trips to Ray Bob. When the wife goes, so she can use them over Grass beds, she has outfished me more than I would care to admit.....
I REALLY hate the redwings!!!!!
