 Lake Athens Ramps are Closed

The Athens Municipal Water Authority has closed the ramps on Lake Athens for at least a couple of days due to high water. I'll post updates as I learn more.

Any have pics? I lived at lake Athens for years and never remember it this high or possible breach. Coach

Any have pics? I lived at lake Athens for years and never remember it this high or possible breach. Coach I have. Back in '88 or '89 the water was up into the parking lot. If you're familiar with the lake, I lived in Oakwood Subdivision, which is towards the dam, the water was up to the playground.

Wow, I lived at peninsula point from 84-92. Guess I was too young to remember.
