Time to vent... realmad
They raise prices and still offer no services.

1. A courtesy dock would be nice or maybe a light for those that fish at night. A couple nights ago we beached the boat as close to shore as possible, about three feet away, and I am about to jump out when I see a snake in the green light. I don't know what type he was but I really don't want to step on any snake.

2. A while back I was fishing with my friend. He picks up his tackle box and sets it in his lap but a crank bait was stuck on the bottom. He dropped his box and it ripped his leg pretty good. My first aid kit was behind my truck seat. We were leaving to go get it but we saw a LCRA rescue boat. It was a new Mako with twin 200's (good use of the doubled entry fee). We asked the guy driving the boat if he had a first aid kit and he said he would have to look!!! This boat had a huge red cross and Rescue in big letters and he did not even know if he had a first aid kit!!!

I was upset at the price increase at first but I figured they would improve the parks. The only new structure of any kind is a booth at the 360 bridge to take money.

Thanks for reading the rant.

Travis LE patrols are legendary for their incompetence. (If you want anything done you need to find a Game Warden.) They sure do have nice boats though. Austin Park PD is really run on a shoestring, but at least they have bandaids.

Austin Park PD has absolutely nothing to do with the 360 ramp. That's a Travis county park, Like Quinlan.

HA! Just yesterday on FOX7 news they had a story about how LEO (Travis County mostly) on Travis won't patrol the area around Windy Point where people swim next to the boat ramp. They say they aren't required to enforce the no swimming within 50 feet from the ramp because it's a private ramp...

On another note, the $10 at 360 ramp has gotten us another port-a-john hammer
Still waiting for a real crapper for my annual fee I pay... who_knows

Be aware and look before you step! I was out on Austin saturday night and I always look before I step and good thing I did. Some on had left a brown trout on the floor to step in. A bunch of nasty @#$%$%^# to do something that darn nasty.

When in doubt SET THE HOOK!

A different view of the LCRC. My fishing partner is a disabled Vet. The National Park at Amistad and all the Texas State Parks give him free admission. The LCRC won't even give him a discount. If there is anyone who reads this board who has any influence with the LCRC you might want to recommend they change this practice.
