Green horn here again...
boat : 96 Skeeter ZX150 w Merc black max 150
Currently have 565 on the console and 525 on the deck... Im looking to upgrade but I'm looking for that fine line between function and price. Im not trying to put high end on this weekend warrior... at the moment I only use the graphs for temp depth and sometime schooling sand bass... Im not versed in using electronics but id like to start learning.
What models would you recommend without spending very much? I think i saw my 525 used for like $60 not sure where i should start?

Find used 597 HD DI.......does everything you need and does it well.....200-250$

The best thing I would do is get with David @ shut-up-and-fish. He will be glad to guide you through the units and may even have something used or demo. that would suit your needs.

No GPS on 596.....if you can find what I said in the price range I mentioned I don't know of a graph that is better for what you want

I have the HB 688's, one on TM, one one console. They are great units..under 500.
