My wife ran something over and blew a tire and bent a rim on our car. Its a 2014 Ford Escape, has the painted steel wheels with hubcaps. Dealer wants 330 bucks for one, cheapest I have been able to find that someone actually has in stock/can get is 200. GUy on craigslist has 3 of them for abou $50 each, but he is 100 miles away...

I have called every salvage yard in san Antonio I can find a number for and nobody has one.

I have a call into a company that straightens rims, but they haven't gotten back with me.

Any ideas?

Thanks

matt

100 miles isn't all that far, make a day of it.

What city are they in?

Found one at a salvage yard in New Braunfels, only about 30 miles for me. Dang who would have thought it was that dang hard to find a friggin factory steel wheel bang

Getting it done for way less than the dealer quoted. When he told me the total would be close to 600 with tax for 1 tire and 1 rim it made me a little mad. I would have rode public transportation for a few months before I paid that just on the principal of it.

I'd drive the 100 miles.

I don't know of a good place to get one.
