Kirk,

I don't have one but they sell them at Barlows in Richardson. One of the guys that works there is a fly fisherman and says he really likes his Echo rod.

Barlows is the place I know of that sells them. I took a quick look on eBay and there was very little to speak of as far as Echo rods.

echos come w/ warranty as well.
yrs ago all I would fish was orvis, but now with a ton of new rod makers out there it is kind of fun to hunt for the right price w/ nice wood and action. I think TFO made more waves than some people know.

the ascent by winston is very nicely priced and a nice rod.

FAOL only had one posted and I was to late. 60 bucks is a good buy even if it handels avg.

gotta act fast huh?

Perhaps posting this request in the Things Wanted on FAOL? There may be someone lurking there with a rod to sell.

Hi,

I'm an Army Captain stationed at FT Leonard Wood Missouri, but relocating to FT Hood in Killeen this summer.

I bought an Echo Classic (not the model with 2 different tip sections) in a 7'6" 4 piece 3wt. I have caught everything from rock bass, crappie, bluegill, small mouth, large mouth and rainbow trout on it and I can't say enough about how I like it. The little stick is light, medium fast, attractive and nicely finished. And considering that it only cost $139.00, has a lifetime warranty, comes with a rod case, I think it's a steal.

I casted Winstons, Sages, even a Lefty Kreigh Pro TFO rod and I liked this one the best. I couldn't have made a better buy.

ft hood has several ponds that are good but chaulk falls creek is fun, salado creek is good when you wade down stream a mile or so. lampasas around florence is neat too. all places stay in the water as the sides are private ground.
