Also, if someone is looking at an abu and they see a calcutta, they wont look twice at the abu. For a reliable and STRONG reel, you go with calcutta. Thing is, the reels are not in the same class, just as I stated above in your comparison of the advantage and the stx.

Where can you get Advantages for $59 and HST's for $119? Cabelas & Academy have HST's for $139 and regular ones for $99.

Granted the comparison I am giving isn't exact but when compared to the price of the new Curado's as others were mentioning it would be a good comparison cost wise and I prefer the Revo.

When comparing them I was speaking more of size and feel and I should've mentioned that, sorry. I was also pointing out there ABU makes another good reel besides the record, now anyway. They also make a SX and S that would be more in the price range...as good as the STX is I cannot imagine them being junk.

I started out with a 4600c Abu Garcia when i was younger. now that i'm alot older i can handle a 5500c3. i can cast a spinner bait and not even touch the spool, just click it in when it hits the water(took lots of fine tuning). have not hade a chance to try the new revo's yet they seem nice in ways.

I use Shimano and my fishing partner uses Abu Garcia 4600's. He definitely has more maintenance issues than I do.
