Longer rod, bigger weight, braid main line.

Have you cleaned the reel lately? May also try a wider spool reel that holds more line like a curado 300 or one compairable. Also turn off all brakes, magnetic and centrifugal and let it rip. Use a 7'6'' heavy at the least

I may need a longer Rod with a faster tip. The rods I have tried the most are 7' & 7'2" but they are heavy rods.
I can throw it alright just not like a big T rig or a big Jig or even a frog.
What Rod would you consider if price was not an option? I have been thinking about getting a falcon lizard dragger I don't know if they still make them but I see used ones around from time to time. The Loomis IMX 844C MBR is a 7' rod with a fast tip that is ideal for c-rigs and big jigs, & frogs. This rod is the workhorse of the Loomis line. It is not simply a "broomstick" rod like some other heavy action rods. I still have two of these that are over 20 years old. They are virtually unbreakable. I also own a half a dozen NRX's but the IMX is the rod I use most of the time.

The first thing you can do to fix the distance problem is get rid of the braid. Mono or fluoro is a better option. Many people think mono has too much stretch for a c-rig, but that is not the case. Braid is a better option for those who have trouble feeling the bite.

Get you a Shimano Calcutta B. I have one that I use for c-rig and have never been out cast with all the people I have been in the boat with. Mine is 16 years old and I would not trade for it.

Know...
The best Carolina Rod out there is a hand made rod by Custom Angle Rods called "Carolina Special". The are made not far from the metroplex. I use a 3/4 oz tungstong and I can chunk it a mile. I use an E7 with 65# Power Pro.

I use a Dobyns Champion 764C 7'6" rod and 20lb fluoro with a mono leader about 3-4 feet. The two swivels puzzles me? Weight on top, bead or beads, swivel, leader and then hook. What was said before is right. Cast the weight and lob it. I get plenty of distance, but I think the 7'6" rod makes a difference. I have used braid on the main line as well and did not see a difference in casting distance. I use a Revo SX high speed on the reel.

My best CR rod is a Dobyn's Champion Series 804C. It is specialty labeled as the "Carolina Riggin' Special" and they aren't kidding. Do you have to have that rod to have a good CR cast? Absolutely not, but a long rod is a good thing for the "lob cast" as described by others. It's certainly not a whipping motion like might be used with lighter baits.
One of the biggest problems with casting distance is today's industry inclination toward small reels that have low line capacity. A small lightweight "100 size" reel has no business on a CR rod. I use a reel with a 175 yard capacity of 17# test mono. This alone adds considerably to my CR casting distance as I do not go down into the smaller diameter zone of the spool where bearing resistance becomes a notable deterrent to casting distance.

I would agree with some of the others here, it has to be the casting motion. I throw 2 different crig one on a 6'8 st Croix crig rod for 1/4 Oz and under and 7'2 vendetta heavy for anything over 1/4 oz. I can cast both of these further than needed in most cases. I would work on the lob cast like others have stated before buying a rod. Also loose the top swivel it is not needed.

The braid isn't the problem. I can throw baits on braid a mile.
Yes, you can throw a little bit farther with mono or fluoro but not significantly. My guess is that your reel is only half full of line Slade. That will KILL your distance no matter what you are trying to cast.

I've been using 3/4 to 1oz weights with 2' leaders and 12" Worms. I should have mentioned that in my post. Slade, If you can't throw a C-rig a half a mile with a 1 oz weight and a 2' leader, something is very wrong with your rod & reel set up. I see a lot of guys that don't fill their reels all the way with line. You should fill your reel to within 1/16" of the edge of the spool no matter what kind of line you are using. With 30 or 50 braid, you should be able to launch that set up 40-50 yards with a decent reel and a 7' rod. What rod & reel are you using? I agree here, reel needs to be looked at.
