First time to go to the lake and would love a report if anyone has one. Trying to show my wife a good time for mothers day and don't want to drive 4 hrs for a boat ride...

ToledoBassin Outdoorsman T Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 227 Toledo Bend	Find the shad and u will catch. I was able to get on the lake Thursday morning and caught 40 before 9 am. Combination of LMB, Kentucky's, and white bass. Nothing bigger than 3 pounds but lots of fun.

Can anyone who has had good luck help him with best depth, which end of lake, and a couple lure choices? He's not asking for fishing holes, just some help would be nice considering he's driving 4 hours with his wife.
