We will be traveling to Seaside, FL with my wife's family this summer and I was wondering if anyone had a good fishing guide in the area that they would recommend? Primarily looking for some off-shore fishing. Any help would be appreciated.

I fished with Captian Mark with Fishy Booty Charters http://fishybooty.com/ last August out of Grayton Beach. If you are in Seaside then this is really the only place they launch. I was staying in Watercolor. Grayton Beach is a 10 minute drive from Water Color/Seaside. I think Mark and two other guys run small CC's out of grayton beach. They'll pick you up on the beach and drop you off there. Wind was rough every day I was there but managed to get out and fish with him one day. Nice ride. We caught amberjack, trigger fish, a bunch of red snapper (it wasn't in season) and other various snapper that were pretty tasty. Lots of pretty warm water with lots of sharks. We had to reel up as fast as we could to get our fish past all the bull and black tips. Toward the end of the day we went near the beach and shark fished a little, they are really close up to the shore there and all over the place!

Fish with Capt Stan Phillips. We had one of the best days with him two August's ago. Lots of black fin, AJ's, Grouper, kings and a couple of Wahoo.. He provides you a DVD of your trip as well.. I can not say enough good things about the man. Florida's bag limits just suck! If you are hell-bent on fishing Destin this guy rocks! http://www.charterboatdestination.com/meet-the-captain.htmlHope this helps!

This Last Saturday we went out on the charter boat twilight and had a freaking blast, there were ten of us on a 12 hour trip but 3 hours to get to the fishing grounds and 3 hours to get back and he put us on some fish!
