Join us at Twin Coves on Lake Grapevine to paddle that new kayak before you buy it! There will be demos available from all of the major brands carried by APT. If you have any request please post up on this thread and we will try to have them available for your paddling pleasure.

This will also be the first event for the Texas Kayak Anglers Association! We will have a meet and greet to openly discuss what TXKAA is all about and how you can become part of what is sure to become a great organization!
I am sure there is to be something good cooking on the grill as well...

So...Here are the details:

When?- Saturday May 2nd, 10am until ??

Where?- Twin Coves Park, Flower Mound

What?- Kayak demos and TXKAA meet and greet

Cost?- FREE other then your $5.00 entry fee to the park

Expectations?- Expect to have fun!

To all that all thinking about going, Angler Pro Tackle is opened by honest good people that will give you a great deal and stand behind their product. I can't say enough about how Rick has been a great help over the years!

I have a BassGrabbers tournament this day out at White Rock . Rick and his staff at Angler's are the best! Im sure it will be a great day and I wish I didnt have to miss it!

This going to be a busy Sat morning, lots of events going on .. how late are you guys planning to be at the lake ?

Probably until 3 or 4 but we will be there as long as we have people wanting to paddle boats...

Bump... I will be there. I might have some stickers on me if APT does not have issue with me handing some out. I'll prob get there about 12:30

Thanks. My 8 year old son and I had a good time. It is amazing how much you can learn in one hour jumping from one kayak to the next.
1) Kayak seats have come a long way in the last few years.
2) I am not buying a tandem Native Ultimate 15 to paddle with my son. Our paddles kept colliding. I think it would have been worse with my wife or daughter.
3) We both like the Native Ultimate 12 and the Slayer Propel 13.
4) The paddle board with a seat was neat to demo but it is last on the list of things for us to buy.
5) The Tarpon 12 is a better open water boat and it has a wetter ride than the Native boats.

I went to this event this morning with Wife and Daughter and we had a great time trying different boats. As first time buyers the gentlemen were very patient, knowledgeable, and really took care of us. Thank you again for the hospitality Erik and PT team.

Yeah. I got there a little before 2 and was disappointed to find out it had ended earlier than advertised. I'm just glad I have a season pass so I didn't have to pay to get in.
