what you need to do is set up collection bins at every bass champs, skeeter, legend owners tournaments you can. Contact Bass and see if they will let you. They are great guys at bass champs. Go to local tournaments and get to know everyone. Network yourself out. Don't ever give up. You have a good plan but it will take work and time.
Guys this young man has a work ethic and it's good to see. I have seen to many kids who think the are entitled to everything. I will start collecting my soft plastics for you.

I bet you would get a far better response. I was intrigued by your post but at the same time a little put off because you are asking for people to gather your materials for free.
The recycling idea is a great idea though.
You could also get with some state agencies and ask to if you could put some collection bins at boat ramps. I clean my plastics out after I load up and would gladly put them in a bin for that purpose.

he already did this in a different post.

yep talk with local tournament directors and see if you can advertise there and set up collection bins. Start with smaller trails like media and other 30-50 boat events they will be more willing to help you out. Bass Champs might. but they have many contracts with other companies and might not be able to help you out

You might want to put out adds on craigslist in areas that have large lakes that are known for bass fishing. If you are handling the postage as you stated then think of the minimum amount you'd be willing to deal with and create an add. It is free to do so if it doesn't work it doesn't hurt.

I am going to be at the Skeeter owners tournament . If you talk with them . I will set up a collection containor (trash can) and pick it up at the end .
Let Skeeter know that you are a young man starting a business . I bet they would not mind helping out .

Contact Kickapoo bait and tackle on lake Livingston, they host most tournaments on Livingston and se if they would be willing to put a bin out front on tournament days. It an idea worth checking into.

Here's an idea. Contact a bunch of different bass clubs. find one guy willing to help at each club tourney. at the end of the tourney get the guys to give him all their used plastics. every few months or so arrange for collection. In return, donate a certain amount of baits for prizes or something like that. I have fished in several clubs and most are great guys and I know some that would be more than willing to help........even if there's no reward. Doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you is an unselfish act. And me as a Christian man believe in helping others.......especially my fellow fishermen. Pm me and I can give you some contact info
