Well it appears that I missed the spawn for the most part of my 2 home lakes. Carp are spawning and I found a few on beds last weekend. What's the best way to locate fish post spawn? I caught smalls ones in 4 FOW flooded flats and 10-12 FOW in creeks last weekend trying to locate better fish

Almost every lake has what we call a first drop on all the spawning flats. You should be able to find them there. If the lake has wood and underwater bushes they will move out to that final drop eventually before really schooling back up and suspending on deep ledges for the summer months to avoid the warm water temps..
You will always be able to catch a few local medium depth bass on the first and second drops. These are your local shallow water fish that move in and out with the early morning sun rise and evening. They will follow those schools of shad and minnows that are there feeding in the shallows. This is what I believe to be only 10% of the bass in the lake so you really aren't fishing for many at all. My suggestion is learn to fish deep structure and read the contours.

Frog!! And yellow magic have been great for those shallow post spawn bass that feed on bluegill after they spawn. Bluegill spawn is a great time to fish shallow. Swimbaits also are great 2-8ft on points and drop offs near the flats

Here is a technique that works very well and is doing good on Fork right now. When the rains come during and after the spawn they will move right back up there from the first drop. They are after those minnows feeding on bugs, worms and will work that vegetation to get their share of those critters also.
