I'm in Bosque County and looking for a decent place to shore fish and was wondering about Meridian State Park. I've googled a bit but the most up to date info I found was back in '09. Anyone ever tried it out? I haven't been there since at least the early 2000's. I usually hit Steele Creek Park but last year it was absolutely terrible.

Ive fished it a lot the past few years. I fish it from either a kayak or float tube so I can get to the better areas of the lake. I rarely seen or heard of bank fishing being any good. Maybe for bluegill or catfish but not bass.

Is the water level back up? Went last year, and the pier had a 45 degree incline. I have caught some really good Blue Gills there in years past, and some nice cats also. Never been much on Bass Fishing, though won't throw a keeper back if it bites my hook.
