www.riverridgetx.comFrom the look of Jane's website, she's done gone and made shallow water a non-issue in her search for white bass this season. Done gone and got herself an airboat! Imagine that! Went out with her last year and just had a ball limiting out on the biggest whites I have ever laid eyes on in about 2.5 hours. Have had my reservations for March 9 for about 7 months now. I'll be booking next years trip after this next trip. Looks like she's getting into them a bit early this year, just not the size that'll come later. For those of you that haven't had the chance to meet or fish with Jane, you ought to do yourself a favor and make the trip. Naw, this ain't a paid advertisement, Jane and Tom Gallenbach are first class, one trip and you'll be hooked also. Looking forward to seeing you this season, Jane!

How low is toledo, or the sabine river? I'm really looking forward to getting out there this year. I got in on the tail end of it last year, and wore 'em out for a couple of days. Hopefully the water level will be do-able for at least small craft. I hope an airboat won't be mandatory anyway.

It appears that the lake is about down about 7' , which is a little better than the -10' it was last spring.

Thanks for the nice words. I love to fish and I like people. We have not had a chance to get on the water in the past couple of days. The river came up about 4 feet but has fallen about 2 feet. It will fall fast until the lake level comes up so that we get backup from it here at the house. We are suppose to get several inches of rain tonight and tomorrow. It should bring the river up several feet if we do. That should really kick the white bass in "lets travel mode". They should really start moving up from Toledo Bend. Today I could probably catch limits, after the rain if the water comes up several feet, it may be hard to get on them for several days. As it gets closer to the big run, it will get easier even in a water level change. I will start posting regular once I get to catching bigger fish. I don't post really early because fishermen start showing up and it is not time yet. There are a few places that are hard to access that I can catch fish this time of year if the water level is right. Most people can't get there with the equipment that they have. Just be patient. Look forward to a great white bass season. See you on the water, Jane

Is it mostly males running this time of year. Never fished this early but am itching if we get good rain to start fishing. What about yellows?
