There are many southern Oklahoma lakes that are as close as east Texas lakes from the DFW area. I've had 7 acres with 600' waterfront on Lake Eufaula for 30 years and enjoy it.

I live about 3 miles from Ol cherokee. We were going to buy on it when we were house looking but bought some acres instead.... beautiful lake, wish I could fish it!

Private 60 acre lake, 25 miles from Fork, 20 miles from Cypress Springs, 22 miles from Bob Sandlin,40 miles from Lake o the Pines, 4 share-a-lunkers, 10 over 10 pounds last year. Low taxes. Eat your heart out
