Looking at a 200 SuperPro. Any opinions on Pro Craft boats?

Yes, poor fit/finish. Would not buy a new one for sure. I would buy a used one, as they don't seem to hold their value very well and you can get allot of boat for the price.

Since Pro Craft is owned by the same company that owns Nitro, I'd by a Nitro. Same boat, better price.

Older Pro Crafts were great boats. I have an older 17'6" that's the best boat I've ever owned. I can't attest to the new ones.

I have a buddy that has a big procraft with a 250 (I think) verado on it. Between the boat and the motor, it was in the shop the first year more than it was available. I think all the bugs were finally killed, but he was not a happy camper for quite some time. The Verado/Procraft combination runs equivalent to a Basscat with a 225 Yamaha.

Procraft is now owned my Tracker Marine. When they were owned by Brunswick, they made a good boat for the money. I personally ran one for seven years and NEVER had a problem with it.

Hey tx_basser, are you kidding me! Besides myself, everyone I have ever known that has owned a Pro-Craft has loved them and never had problems with them. I know thats your opinion. so Im not mad at you about that. They actually do hold their value very well, as Ive turned 3 in the past 5 years.
Pro-Craft's are great boats. I just got rid of my 2004 200, and went with the 2007 210 Super Pro. You can check out my website below and see pics of the new boat. I never had any problems with my 200. I turn boats every 18 months, so I didnt have it that long. I have been fishing for Pro-Craft and Binders Marine World for quite a while now, and have been very happy with both. Since Tracker Marine took over Pro-Craft, the service has been awsome.
This is my 4th Pro-Craft boat, so if you have any questions about them, feel free to shoot me an email.
If your really serious about buying one, call Tom at Binders Marine World in Ft. Worth. 817-457-7707. We are having a boat show Jan. 27th, and my boat will be on display for you to see. You dont see many 200's or 210's in stores because most people want to specially order them the way they want them. Im always open to showing my boat, so if your interested just email me.

Gotta agree with Sinkey. I have driven a ProCraft for years and have not had any problems. When I did need service for somthing that I tore up, it was fixed promptly and the customer service has been outstanding. I am going to buying another boat this spring and it will definately be a ProCraft.

I have a V 200DC that I really like. It is one of the cheaper ones. It doesn't weigh very much and the 200 Mercury pushes it just fine. I really like it. It is a 96 model.

Guys, thanks so much for the opinions. Will be shopping around today to make sure that I am getting the most boat for my money. Would really rather have a Triton or Champion but who can afford one of them? Whatever will be better than my 2000 BassTracker with a 40 horse. I think I am starting to get that new boat glow!!

Don't know if it makes any difference, but the angler of the year for the last two years in our club runs a Pro-Craft
:-)

I bought/ordered a new 2002 Super Pro 19 and it was one of the best boats I've ever owned. I screwed up and ordered the wrong color and I couldn't stand the color and traded it in. Aside from the color, there wasn't anything that I wasn't pleased with. Boats are not something you can plan on not losing money. It's no different than buying a new car. Someone mentioned buying a used one because they depreciate so badly. Well, that's true, but almost all of them do. If you want a new boat, and you like the Procraft, buy it and don't worry about what others think. Everyone of us on this board has a different opinion on what boat's the best. That's why they make so many different kinds of boats, lures, rods, reels, and so on.

And furthermore, Troy Aikman uses ACME for all his bricking needs.
