Oh yeah forgot to tell you guys. Cats are stacked on submerge timber and brushpiles.
Dipbaits (secret 7) and shad have been killing them. Walk up to a brush fish it catch 2. If bite slows down in 5 mins move on to the next. For sure you can catch a limit of channels rn.

Trying to locate some super secret bait to get somewhat around there for tomorrow morning that isn't going to make me have to drive too far out of the way and eat up fishing time.

Doug, camo hat with velcro patches, ugly stik gear bag.

No monsters tonight...but the action was NON STOP. I didn't have a chance to throw any lures with my spinning rod.

Here's the first channel I caught that was 3.5 lbs

Here's what I took home

Number of fish on the stringer doesn't reflect the action tonight. It reflects my hookup problem... They just weren't hooking themselves on these circle hooks. May have been a little big for the size of fish I was in though. The amount of times they took my rod down and it came back up with no bait was kind of frustrating. A more dialed in rig would have had a limit in a few hours, no problem.

I had to quit due to it getting dark and if I spend any more time out at the creek I'll probably get a divorce....

Lots of big gar out there hitting the top of the water. Don't know if they were down there taking my bait too. Didn't hook into one.

Great time though! Best action I've had in a while!

Oh, and it is MUDDY! Very slippery! Almost ended up in the creek on the way out tonight.... Glad I wore my waders because I had to wade through water to get to the creek!

So much standing water from where the creek got out. Saw a couple of guys leave the creek with some carp that were stranded on land from the creek rise.

Met Robert818 out there. He really wasn't trying to troll us with that limit of sand bass pic yesterday. That was from last week, he was just having phone problems and couldn't respond. smile

Went out tonight, saw some bass feeding but couldn't get em to bite! Tomorrow will be better if the silt settles more.

I was out earlier today and got nothing but foul hooked a 3 1/2-4ft gar which I battled for about 10 minutes in my 6lb line before it finally threw my lure. Needless to say I was very disappointed. Looks like if the sand bass don't pick up I'll be fishing for gar

Fishing is only a waste of time if you don't catch anything.

Go back in a couple of days. Should be a lot better.

Your not suppose to fish the day after a rain went thru.
Atleast two days before you can fish.
Then the secret comes out
