OK, yesterday evening we caught 7 keepers in 2ft. of water around brush and weeds. The fish were scattered and could not find a mother load of crappie to limit out on. Hopefully this is just the begining of the spawn.

You did catch the tail end. I caught all males two weekends ago, nearly all males last weekend and mix of females and males this weekend. It's all but over. This is the third weekend I caught them shallow. I haven't been able to fish for months, but loaded the freezer the past couple of weeks. I had to work for fish harder today. Big fish this year. Caught a 16" fish last Sunday.

Yea and I dont know were there at when they go deep at Arlington. I have fished all around the docks south of the Bowman Springs ramp with not one crappie in the past. Maybe the channel cat spawn will be better for me. I just got out there too late this year again for the crappie. Always seem to be too busy with everyday life to get out and fish as much as I would like.

Caught crappie shallow and deep saturday morning. Anywhere from 2-22ft. There are still some hard thumping males in the grass near the mouth 0f the creek and we picked a few large females up on structure in deep water. They were still full of eggs though. New water has them a little spread out i think but I doubt its over.

It's weird this year. I killed them one day and not a bite the next day at the same spot.

Stucky, I saw you trying to get on a brush pile. My wife was asking what you were doing.

Stucky, I saw you trying to get on a brush pile. My wife was asking what you were doing. Yeah man, I thought I saw something good and circled a bunch it was just bass on a ledge. Though about trying it and thought they may be female crappie but decided against it. Were you in that camo aluminum? How'd you do?

That was me. I did far better on the other side of the lake. Took home 13, but it has slowed way down for me. I crushed them for two weeks.
