Should have called the warden. I thought it was against the law for someone to interfere with someone who is legally fishing.

Be nice to them. Make a conversation. Ask them if they know much about cars because your so so car died a couple times on the way to the fishing spot. Ask them what they drove out there. Then talk to them about sports. Tell them bye and say nice talking to yall. BUT on the way out slash their tires. banana

Good job taking the high road!!! Back in my teenage years my brother and I would've went to jail if someone would have thrown something at one of us and the other was around, win, lose, or draw them dudes would've had a fight boxing on their hands. That being said the above suggestions are far more logical. cheers

I like daves advice they probable had booze and weed in there car . The game warden would have kept them busy. Don't take on trash that bully people let the game wardens do their job . That what we pay them for

I don't know what it is about pier fishing but I had a similar thing happen when I was a kid out in galveston. My dad wasn't there because he had gone to the restroom. I saw my line go slack so I jump up to grab my pole thinking a fish had it and was coming towards the pier. When I got up and looked it was actually someone caught on the line to my left. So I picked up my rod and started walking towards him to help untangle it. Before I could get over to him the guy reached up and grabbed my line and cut it in front of his rig and pulled his stuff off the rest of my line in the water and then let it go and walked off. I was so upset but afraid to say something because it was an adult. Also it wasn't like I had crossed any lines I was fishing straight out in front of where we were. I also wanted to tell my dad what happened but I decided not to because I was sure my dad would get in a fight with the guy. Then we'd probably get kicked off the pier. I wanted to just keep fishing since we rarely got to go fishing in Galveston. So I just retied and started fishing again without saying anything. But then I had to respool my spinning reel because we were using really thick line and the spool didn't hold that much and the line the guy cut reduced the spool too much.
