I tried Tickey Creek cove from my kayak same thing deep as in 10-13 ft and shallow as in 3-5 ft and got nothing too. Had a bite by a tree but I think it was just a curious catfish..... sure felt like a thump though got my attention.... guess I'll never know. But no nothing yet I had water temps around 65-70 on my finder but its not real accurate.

I always here people say try where there are rocks for both bass and the crappie. But when the crappie are shallow and spawning you shouldn't have too much trouble finding them. A guy fishing for catfish on the bank the other day when I was out told me he had been fishing Lavon for his whole life and he seemed to think we still had a few weeks until the crappie started spawning....

The crappie should be shallow. The issue is they are just spread out because of all the flooded grass.

They are spread out for sure. To much grass beds everywhere. Water still muddy and with rains comming up gonna make even more tricky. From what I'm seeing.

there are no fish in lavon Well I know for a fact there are at least 2 crappie in Lavon. Fished Friday and nothing. Fished today and caught 2 on plastics in 7 FOW. It was on small depth change right before weed line. Thought I had a pattern going but nada. Oh well. Next weekend maybe.

Fishing is slow all around. Yesterday I went fly fishing at Texoma in my float tube and caught two small bass, no crappie. I saw Carey come in to the marina after his morning trip and he said that they didn't catch much, neither did the rest of the guides with Striper Express who came in about the same time. I hope they had better luck in the afternoon trips and today's trips. If those guys re not catching much then you know the fish aren't biting because they are some of the best guides around.

I am going to go out tonight and try and find some. I'll report back tomorrow. I'm fishing A dock @ Collin.

We fished A dock for a couple of hours and then decided to take out the boat. We went to East Fork to fish the shallow stick ups. Nothing at all. I still can't find 'em.
The parking lot at Collin was empty, so I knew that the fishing wasn't going to be good. I checked the barometer and it was within Cary's scale that he likes to fish. The dang fish just don't want me (or anyone else) to find them.
I talked with one guy that did well on the kitty's, but that was the only other person that I saw out there.
