Well, when a guides job is to be on the lake 7 days a week and is paid for it while John doe works a 9-5 m-f and gets out there every weekend don't you see a huge advantage there?

But, at the same time, when you sign up for those tournies knowing guides will fish it then that's on you.

But what I live on Lake a fork, am retired and fish 7 days a week. How's that different?

Well many of us are jealous of you haha, but I highly doubt your lively hood relies on putting clients on fish day in and day out. My original comment is more of playing devils advocate, because im sure there are a fair amount of fisherman out there that see guiding on a lake as a huge advantage in a tournament. Now, when the guides are fishing all the tournaments and one just happens to be on their lake? Well that isn't their fault. That's where you comment comes in, chances are people are good sticks on their home lake so why should they be penalized? So the rules probably need a clarification and if there is a rule prohibiting it then it should be followed or the rule should be amended.

I could careless. There is a history lately of trails having issues with this there and having to change it due to low attendance

Hahaha I guess us Rayburn boys don't mind guides. 80% of the clients guides take are after numbers, and the guide is having to babysit 60% of his parties. Rayburn has several men that fish just tournaments and make a living at that. They are the ones always hunting for "tournament" fish, and they will kick your butt! But that's my outlook. I'm not scared of them. My competition is Florida strand black bass, not someone.

Who said anything about being intimidated if guides fish?

It's about having rules that are possibly overlooked. Rules are rules, if they are published then they should be followed and enforced, IMO.

I simply want to know if there are some rules that others do not want to comply with, will they be penalized, or do the contestants get to pick and choose which rules suit them?

I just fished Media for the first time. I'm still a BLT Solo fan, but Media did a good job. I like 85% payback, numbered release (not sit on hole 90 minutes start fishing 7 am), and set time check-in.

I interpret guide rule they don't want guides jack potting. If you fish the series you can fish your lake. The Northeast division at Fork today only fishes 2 of 5 events at Fork.

They are professional guides and I am a weekend angler. Enough said, this is why we quit fishing media fork.

I've never once entered a tournament and worried about who else was fishing it.
