I told Todd I needed a break from the shop and said "Let's go fishing" last Tuesday afternoon. It didn't take to much to get him to load up with the upcoming CAT Crappiefest and him not on any fish. We headed North and found a cove with 3 creek channels that was protected from the wind. As we got closer, Todd said "That's Kirk up there". As we got closer, Kirk told us he had already caught the crappie from here and we were about to take him for his word, as we couldn't get bit in deeper water. After a brief "Howdy", Kirk said he was going elsewhere to search for more. We did not get a bite till we moved shallow and got our jig & cork rods out. We immediately started catching fish! I LOVE watching my cork sink outta sight!!!! Ended up with 24, only 2 were females
