Well, I've got about nothing important to do this week so I think I'm gonna go out to lake somerville and fish a few days. What parks are good for camping? What they charge? I'd prefer one with restrooms and a shower would be nice too.

Fishing is always good, its the catching that varies.

Eight-I tried to send you a reply full of information about Somerville, but apparently I missed something and nothing showed up. Try the Lake Somerville Marina and Campground. It's a clean, pleasasnt campground, good shower and toilet facilities, a fishing dock where several folks are taking nice stringerse of crappie.
They have a good store full of light groceries, beer and snacks, plus more tackle than Wal-Mart.
I keep my travel trailer on Site 41 year-around, which tells you I think highly of the facility.
If you're boating, run about 10 minutes to the dam and try trolling a Little George or a Rattletrap (chrome if you have one) in 12-15 feet of water parallel to the dam. I took some big white bass from that area and even had a husky Striper came halfway out of the water, decide he didn't like my looks, and spit a George back in my face.
Stop at a Wal-Mart and pick up the MAY issue of Texas Outdoors Journal for full article on the lake. I'll vouch for everything in the article, since I wrote the piece.
I may take my better half to the lake Sunday(35 miles from Giddings). If she feels properly recovered from two "vacations" for heart surgery at Seaton aMedical Center in Austin recently.
The phone number for information and reservations at Somerville Marina is
979-289-2321.
If you go there, tell 'em Ross Parsons suggested you check it out. It won't get you a discount, but they probably won't shoot you immediately.
Good luck--
=ROSS=
