There were still plenty of fish for me before the rain, just had to look for them. Females still had some eggs left in them too.

Went out around 9am fished till about 12:30. Caught my 2 largest females so far around 15-16" and a few smaller ones. the first 2 hours were best.

Its going to get better with more rain coming. Shad should start spawning in the creek after the rain.

Went out today from 9:30 to 1:30. Caught three smaller catfish and one big one. Also caught a 15 inch drum. Going to try North of NT12 tomorrow to see what I can do.
Doug, camo hat with velcro patches, ugly stik gear bag.

Nt's are bike trail markers
X is on a lake north of Dallas, and I can say I haven't personally caught any really BIG fish there . That's all I can say about that.
I like Rowlett creek better , its in my neighborhood.
Knock on wood the rain brings the fish in and doesn't wash them all out.
I need to take a day and see if any made it up to the bike park or the hell hole this time.

Went out this morning and fished abut 2 hours and caught around 50+ before having to head to work. Females in Rowlett are very large and putting up great fights. MR2 David Nice fish and Fly set up ! is that a TFO Pro II 4wt. and a Konic II ?? stick is TFO BVK 3wt and correct on the reel, i have one in both 3wt and 5wt; Love them both.     She was the biggest of the morning. no measurments just my eye

There are some BIG females almost the size of hybrids! I was out there for a little over an hour using my fly rod and hooked 4 then decided to switch over to my spinning real because I got tired of hearing the guy next to me drag screaming all day, he said was using a silver jig and I saw him catching one everyother cast, by the time I switched over to something similar and caught 5 I had to leave. Did manage to hook a big one though!  I know there's not anything to compre the size to there but it was at least 15 inches if not bigger!
Fishing is only a waste of time if you don't catch anything.
My time is never wasted!
