Caught these at the dam in open water, 47 feet off the bottom.  I was using these as bait, under a fixed float with a twitch, them 2 pounders can't stand the twitch.  Meet me at the ramp Saturday morning and I will lead you on a wild goose chase, we're bound to stumble onto some 2 pound fish to weigh in. You ready? (This story is fiction.)

A frog colored hand grenade will be my next bait of choice if they don't start cooperating better. I didn't see anything in the CAT rules that wouldn't allow it  How long would I have to set the fuse to make sure it got down to 47 feet before detonating?

Banger, been catching these Black looking Crappie also, they are 6 to 8 inches tall but not very long and have been 1.75 pounds and smaller. Don't think they are big enough to weigh in at the tourney though. Anyways they sure pull hard.

I was thinking you were sitting in a boat 47 feet off the bottom. I would have to have a center fielders arm to keep from blowing up my boat
