I have all the artificial baits I need, but I was wondering if there are shad to be caught on Texoma? Or should I buy minnows? I was not sure if there was a significant shad kill from the cold icey weather wed have late Feb - March.

No major shad kill this year, shad are scattered, some deep, some trying to move shallow.. Shad were flipping in Johnson creek last night and were thick this mourning in 15 f.o.w. north of newberry creek in the washita arm... Good luck..

I saw lots of bait balls in Caney creek yesterday. The cove is chock full of pelicans and cormorants so there must be something to eat in there.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.
