I have seen fish like this that had plastics in their stomachs. I may get stoned for this, but I filleted one that looked like this one time. It had five pieces of different plastics in its belly.

the fish was pretty beat up! pretty bad! But I kissed it goodbye and wished it a better life! haha

I think fish like that are just old and on their way out. I've seen three fish very similar to that. Really long with a big head but no meat. One was 28" long
It was still trying to feed because you caught it but for some reason it aint feeding enough or does not properly digest it's food and get nourishment from food any more.
I bet if you would have caught it a year ago, the title would have read more like, LOOK AT THIS HAWG! or something to that effect
