Me and two of my fishing buddies are gonna be there this Friday. We will be staying at Shady Glade. We caught them pretty good last year on black Senkos fished weightless. Would that still be a good choice this year??

mudd is right. fishing is good right now.

Senkos are a good choice. we used green pumpkin with the small leadhead and wirebrush guard to rig ours. Weightless is probalby fine too unless you have river current moving water where you will be fishing.

I was there a week ago and we punched 'em right in the mouth. We fished a lake fork tackle 10 inch ring worm in green pumpkin' and pulled the tail off. We fished it on a shaky head. Pitched it right to the base of the cypress trees in the bayou's near shady glade. They would bite a net bait B-Bug in Bama Bug also. We would dip the tip of all baits in chart.

i'll be there thursday - saturday.. looks like a wash out thursday, but friday and saturday will be just fishing between the rains. Ya'll think that's a good time still? Plan on flipping alot of plastics at the bases of trees, but also wanted to fish my 316 swimbaits some. Anyone have thoughts to share on that tactic right now out there.

A friend fished Caddo Sat and said the Shady Acres ramp still has high water(basically backing the truck in the water before the boat launches due to it being flat). But the Earl G ramp is fine and the lake is at 170.69 so almost back to "full pool".

The lake "was" quite high a couple weeks ago with water OVER the Earl G dock and most of the markers barely visible. Shouldn't have any issues this weekend.
