I have read several posts about fishing Indian Creek, but I've never made it up that way. I looked it up on a map and am not sure what is the best way to get there....seems like a whole lot of timber to get through before you even get to the creek arm. Do you launch at Jordan and go up north on the east side of Wolf Island....or are you launching at Buck Creek?

Also, the creek arm is really long....how far do you need to go north in order to get into normal spring crappie areas....do you need to go clear up to the 922 bridge area?

Hope one of these days, they will turn on and everyone can find some.

Greg

In the days when I lived close enough to make some trips to Ray Roberts, I always liked Indian Creek in the spring. Lake Kiowa above it keeps it from getting as muddy as much of the lake.

The run from Jordan Park isn't bad, but you do need to learn the timber. I've found shallow fish in the creeks that come into Indian Creek about halfway up the creek, especially the one on the east side, as well as on the east bank just before you get to the 922 bridge. I never had that much luck finding them deep in Indian Creek, but it's been years since I've fished it.

I fished Indian Creek Last week from my kayak and got skunked. When I dropped my jig down, I lost sight of it at about 5 to 6 feet deep. It was so clear, I couldn't produce any fish from shallow to 20 FOW.

I went up indian this afternoon and first tree we stopped at 10 fow a large mouth sucked up a crappie jig. Aside from that a word of advice if your going in go early so you can make your escape before the dim to dark hours the stumps are relentless back in there.

If you find my prop back there save it for me.

As hard as I hit the stump at 5500 rpm I doubt there is much left.

I keep looking for indian creek on Google and all it shows is a spot on the lake. Is it an area or is it a creek? I wanting to find a close place to put my kayak in. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

If it has anything to do with fins, feathers, or fur im in

Probably 922 (lone oak rd) bridge. I've never personally seen the bridge but on my graph it is marked as a bank fishing location.
