Got the ol Yellow Magic out 2 weeks ago at Fork pre fishing for Mega Bass and caught a 6.58 and a 5.42 back to back cast in Glade. Threw it a little bit on tournament day and nothing. Gave up quick. Was on the hunt for unders. Caught a 2.40 and got 5th in the noon hour. Great 3 days at Fork that weekend. Love me some top water action.

Last night about 10:20 a guy I fished with caught 3 on a Spook on Lake Alan Henry in Little Grape. His biggest was about 2.5 lbs and next about 1.75 lbs. Small one was about 1 lb. No overs, though, so he had about 4.25 on his 2 unders. I missed 4 fish on a craw worm. Only got bit when the moon was out from behind the clouds and fish were hitting the top of the water. First time Jake had been night bass fishing and had a GREAT time. 63 degree water temps on AH last night. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Caught some on a frog the last few days at fork. Looked at the fish log at Oak Ridge, there where 4 fish from the same guy on 3/29, 3 of them where over 10 and the 4th was 9.5lbs. He told them he caught them all on a buzz bait. Son of a biatch. Why can't I get in on some action like that? Awesome for him that's for sure.

i think you can catch topwater fish any time water temp is above about sixty, but it may not be the most effective method for catching.imo the warmer the water the better the top water bite!

Have you guys tried the KVD splash poppers? They're every bit as good as the yellow magic poppers in my opinion. And they're $8 so a little less than half the price.
