Planning first trip to Lake Fork. Hoping this doesn't open a can of worms as it may be a controversial topic, but any strong recommendations for a guide? Two fishermen, both young professionals 28 yrs old. Friend going with me fairly new to fishing (two years or so); I have been fishing in small lakes in East Tx my entire life and feel that my fishing is fairly one dimensional - basically, we are interested in learning as much as we can as opposed to just having a boat driver as a guide. Friendliness, patience (friend gets occasional wind knots...ok I do as well sometimes), and willingness to teach are paramount. And we aren't bargain shopping either - realize you get what you pay for. Oh and we may have a cold domestic beverage or two while on the boat. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Justin Margraves. Look him up in the plug and announcement section. Great guy! Availability is tough this time of year!

Most guides are quiet busy this time of year. May and June are great months for lessons as right now it's all about the spawn. They all charge about the same and almost all disallow alcohol.

Call Zach. He'll put you on fish and let you drink some of those old cold beers.

972 979 4163 ^^ Zach is a great guide, he's taking my dad out this next week to get him his first bass on an artificial bait. He's a good teacher too.
