Got here on wend at noon and wacked em on tx rigged water melon red. Four generations fishing together was pretty cool. Then I guess that front shut them down. Lake I'm fishing is flooded, but releasing probably close to 3k cfs. Seen it drop about a foot since. Can't figure anything out. Found some small ones on a yellow magic last night but I'm stumped. Raining now, but I'm gonna go out this afternoon. I'm headed back to temple at noon tomorrow. Any advice? Thanks guys.

It's hard not knowing exactly what lake your at. Generically speaking I might try a jig, lizards in that newly flooded grass. Chatterbaits trailed with swim baits, cranks and the old reliable white spinnerbait. Good luck.

Muddy water from the rain with newly flooded cover--for me I'd have the most confidence throwing a dark colored jig tight shallow flooded timber, would also try pegged T rig in same colors. I'd throw a chatterbait with a gold blade and orange swimbait trailer over shallow flooded grass. When the water is muddy after a rain, I always use scent and dip and glo--the fish are having trouble seeing also.
Would also try black buzz bait

If it's still tough, considering that you are fishing with family (including children); time for some live bait.

I didn't want to disrespect the tourney guys so I left it out that I'm on pines. Oops. Quite a few boats yesterday above 155. We're staying at LOP cabins and rv right there on 155. Place has been great to stay at and will be back. Above 155 looks amazing, but guess the falling water has them shut down. Water was dark but not muddy.

Have fished Lake O Pines for a long time and when the gates open they shut down for me. About the only way we have caught them is to down size and fish slow. Good luck.

Fished Friday Medlin, zero! CampJoy area 9 small fish 2 ,4-5 pounds. All 2-5 feet. Saturday Alley, Johnson 5 small ones way in back of creek around grass mats. Hurricane zero. Went back to camp joy 7 total. Found some beds in 3 ft. Talked to guys at ramp everyone struggling with lake so high. Last weekend point in Alley caught 19 in one spot. All my fishing was with flukes and trigged brushhogs! Saw some guys Saturday evening in my cove bed fishing in yards between docks!!

With the water dropping they do shut down on the pine. Try ledges in 2 to 12 ft and any grass with a t-rig baby brush hog watermelon red, chart tail, slow down for sure!
