Saw this a little late. Due to the wind fishing had been a little harder. Most people are fishing arlington in the late evening with success but I dont get that luxury anymore on 2nd shift. In the mornings I've found nice keepers in grass. Fishing shallow in 2-3fow slowly. Funny thing is most bites come near or at the mouth of creeks only. Not many bites down in the creek.

I want to try LA again but I've been putting it off. Last week, I spent some time fishing for cats and nothing. Spent 3 hours with different baits and not even a nibble. Same for other people there. Hopefully with crappie, the fishing would pick up.

Thanks for the info I was going to take my daughter out for some crappie fish'n yesterday but didn't have time before the wind hit after lunch Looking at the forecast next Tues looks good . Since I havn't been on Arlington this year I was going to start looking south of what we have always called bird island and start working the grass , rocks and stumps heading back towards the main creek .

Well I have so much going on it will be next weekend before I can get out there...heck it maybe over before I get out there, I havent been yet this year. I have caught some spawners out there in years past but never limited out, just a few here and there. That Lake is close to the house so thats where I usually go. But its fun just to get out...thanks for the replies. When I do get out there I will report back.
