there are opinions... but here are some FACTS!
1. 2 Weeks Ago.....it took 31.52lbs to win a team event

Palestine doesn't get a lot of love from the kayak crowd. But I've often said it's the best big lake I've ever been on for kayaking. The only bad thing about me fishing this tournament is that I haven't been able to fish the lake. I'm normally there every chance I get in feb and March

With the lake level like it is theres is some PRIME water in flat creek and kickapoo. I really want to fish this now

I'm in and excited to be fishing a tournament again. Got approval for the days off a while back and have spent a lot of time trying to decide on a game plan. The lake is in the best shape I have ever seen it in the three years since I first fished it. The ramps listed for participants will put everyone within a short paddle of prime fishing. Can't wait to meet all of you out there.

Of any Kayak Bass Tournament! Some Anglers will have the opportunity to create an entire resume from this event, should that make use of
these resources!!!

Very nice trophy. We're going to hit Palestine at an almost pefect time as the colder than normal water temperature, for this time of year, is finally starting to warm up. Looking forward to fishing a new lake and also representing KFL at the local high school kayak bass fishing "show and tell".

This should be an outstanding tournament as both the rules and format are top notch...thanks for putting this on Robert.

It'll be good to have you and your spinnerbait fishing this thing Louis. It's been awhile.

I had a tough first day trying a method I was using during practice ... dead sticking both spinner bait and swimbait. It was the only way I could catch any of the bigger fish during practice period. Wasn't sure I could get a limit of 5 fish doing it and gave up when the first couple of hours resulted in no bites on day one. Got in a rush the rest of the day knowing I would have a tough time getting a limit and compounding the problem. Finally loaded up and made a move to different part of lake. Found some fish willing to bite on day two just slow rolling spinner bait but never got any of the bigger fish to bite.



KFL and KATS teamed up and allowed all participants from KFL to use fish caught on day 2 to be entered in the KATS one day tournament being held that same day from Lake Palestine Resort. Comedy of errors for me. Forgot 12 volt for fishfinder and 360 light on Saturday, left them charging at home and had to wait for full sun up to launch and guess on where creek channel ran in deeper water.

All in all, had a great time and was really impressed with both tournaments and how they were run.
