Well, here they are. These, 22 in all, are the Crappie we caught over the weekend at Highview Marina at Lake Bardwell, TX. We gave away about 6 or 7 because we were tired of cleaning fish. Sherry (my wife) out fished me by catching most of these. Sherry wanted to go fishing for our 25th anniversary (14th).

I made it 2 weeks today.
Now.. do you cook those whole or what? Please explain why you clean that way.

Yeah, you don't see many cleaned that way. Growing up that is the way we cleaned all our panfish. My parents thought filleting them was a waste of meat.
I fillet mine these days just out of convenience.
When I tell them I am going fishing they always ask me to bring them some cleaned this way. I eat them this way too. Crispy fins are delicious.
Thanks for sharing Peter, it brought back some good memories.
