Hi Guys!
I hang out in the fly fishing section but i wanted to share a meeting i had with fellow TFFer DCB 1977 (David). I was dragging my jon boat through a set of shallow riffles in search of sand bass. David was staked out in a back eddy in the middle of the riffles. as i was dragging by we got to talking about boats, jobs, people, fishing stratagies, lure colors and what was wrong with the planet in general. After about an hour we decided to just fish together the rest of the day (we might as well be fishing while we were talking). I beached my boat and started drfifting a fly through the riffles. David was throwing a jig on a very long spinng rod with six pound test. a couple of casts and i hear Davids drag start screaching, and keep screaching, and keep screaching. David tells me he doesnt think this is a sand bass as im wadding for my boat to get my boga grips. After an epic battle David landed a very nice cat. Some sand bass were caught as well and it was a pleasure to get to fish the day with David. If you ever get a chance to fish with him i suggest you take it.

Cool story-
Sounds like a good story-

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

We did have a great time, and nice talking with another fellow TFFr' Wasn't expecting to catch a good 14lb cat on that long crappie pole, but it was fun. Capt Mac, thank you for taking the time to talk and fish with me, hope we can do it again soon!
