Just a little heads-up, there are a lot of fish on several humps here, they are about 75% hybrids that run from 11"s to 14"s.

Please take the time to know the difference, it could be an expensive lesson to learn.

It ain't easy making it look easy.

caught over 20 hybrids the other day and 0 were legal. If you are not 100% sure they are sandbass toss them back as the more non legal fish you take today cant be there when they would have been legal , and a heck of a lot more fun to catch. Our fishing future is in your hands. Most of the time before you even get them into the boat an experienced angler will know most of the time they are hybrids.Even the little ones have an attitude and do some head shaking pulling type motion

Another warning i might add, Just outside the mouth of what used
to be Don's Port, main lake there is a large concrete water intake CC MUD
that all the bouy markers must have floated away, easy to see during the day,but at night there is only a very dim blue light,,needs to be updated

Someone hit that thing at night a couple of years ago and was killed. Very dangerous!

I use light gear when fishing for sandies. When drag is pulled I know right away it is a hybrid.

I read that and at first thought it said 75% hybrids that run from 11 pounds to 14 pounds!!! Hate that when that happens.
