Haven't fished Lake Fork in 3 years since my last 2 trips were very tough...my son convinced me to try it one more time for our annual spring break trip. We were there last Wednesday - Sunday and had a fantastic trip. My son suggested we try our Texoma pattern of using live shad around docks and structure and was that the secret. Our best day was Saturday in which we boated 17 bass with the biggest 5 going 10-2, 8-6, 7-5, 6-8, 6-2 !!! We only caught 5 under the slot that day. We caught them using the live shad under a bobber at about 4 feet in timber coves...we were catching when other boats were not getting a bite. Sure was hard letting all those big bass go back to the lake...especially the 10-2 which was my son's best ever.

Fun times!

Money can't buy you happiness, but it can rent you something so damn close you'll never be able to tell the difference.

Great family outing.
Sometimes it just needs to be real.

Sorry about no photos...I don't know how to upload. As far as catching the shad for bait we caught them around the docks at the marina before sunrise.
