Fished at Ray Roberts for a few hours today only to catch one bass. Where are good spots to bank fish there or any other spots around the Dallas area. I am new to town and could use some pointers to catch a Texas hawg!

I'm landlocked as well, I stick to ponds and smaller bodies of water for the most part. You'd be surprised how many bass and how big of bass there are in ponds around here. I try to wet a line in any pond I come across, and I rarely go home empty handed. If you want to fish big lakes, try to find places where you can fish docks, laydowns, rip-rap, etc. Otherwise it's really hard to find fish quickly.

Before and even after I got a boat I still try to fish a new pond and some others I already know about. You'd be surprised how many big ones you can find. I've seen some 7 pounders come out of a pond right by my house.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll just have to hit the lakes and see what I find. As far as the Trinity goes is it decent everywhere? Are there bass or just cats and such??
