Wife and I did manage 29 crappie in the cooler today.
The ratio was about 3/1 on release.
Half of those were legal, but barely, so we threw them back in.
They were suspended at 15' in 19 FOW.
We double rigged each rod with two jigs about 18" apart.
We let the wind move the boat down river and used the trolling motor to control the speed.
A GOOD DAY OF FISHING!!
Females full of eggs and getting mushy.
Not one single male had a tore up tall, so they aren't on the beds yet.
Spawn will start soon though.

That ain't no Crappie on the end of this rod!

Like I said, ProAngler rods are sensitive beast!

A HUGE Carp! I managed to reach over the side and remove the jigs without trying to lift him in the boat.THANK GOD!

That Carp was the second one I hooked this morning. He almost stripped all my line off the reel before I managed to to finally wear him out. I thought he would never tire out. I have never been so happy to see a fish come to the surface and lay on his side before. I knew I had him then and was gonna save all my stuff. woot

good haul !!!

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

It was nice meeting you Saturday.
The two jigs that worked best for us Sunday were white/blue/white and blue/orange yellow/white.
