Wanted to see if anyone had come up with a way to keep the under seat compartments dry. After fishing in a good rain, it seems my under seat compartments on my Skeeter ZX225 get wet, as well as everything in them. The weather stripping/plastic ring they have on there doesn't seem to stop water getting in. Or else the water is running down off the seat itself and getting in.
Also any ideas on how to get them dry? Fished the last hard rain a couple of weeks ago, then again last week in a steady drizzle and they still haven't dried out.
When I store it I take everything out and flip the seats up, but it is storage room kept and doesn't get a lot of air flow or sun.

Is there any way to get some type of box fan or small fan into the area or at least pointed towards the area where it is wet ? Not familiar with bass boats a whole lot. Just trying to help/suggest something.

I have the same problem. Same boat. Being it is not designed to be a dry compartment I don't think there is a way to keep it dry during heavy rain, it was a way. Sorry no help. I'm in the same boat so to speak.

I put it in the sun and wind today, and put a small electric fan on the compartment today, will see how that works. Thanks anyway. When I look at the way the seat cushions are made it seems that while they are really comfy to ride in, they also cause the problem, as they overhang in a way that makes them naturally drain into the compartment. guess I need to stuff a towel down in between the back and the bottom cushion if it is raining. Everything in there goes in a plastic Ziploc now forward I guess.

Maybe it is a sign I should be smarter and not fish in the rain?
