How do you store your soft plastics? I have been keeping them in the plastic tackle bags, but there has to be a better way to keep them stored and organized. Thanks all!

I have mine in plastic snap lid storage boxes that are designed to hold 4x6 note cards. I still keep the baits in their bag, but these 3 boxes I got are a perfect fit. I have them color divided. Green, red, and black/blue. That's the only three colors I throw. It works great and makes finding what you need very easy.

if you have room in your boat you could keep them in their original bags and line them up in clear plastic trays that are about as wide as the bait bags.
What happens is that eventually you just get to many. So what I end up doing is just bringing the ones, color and shapes, I know are working now. And the latest ones I've bought because someone said these are working now, or I read these are working now or trying something new.
Fortunately now I am only fishing at Fork so that helps cut down on the clutter.

Sterilite shoe boxes. Write on the lid. Worms. Flukes. Creatures. Dippers. Lizards. Leave the bait n it original bags. Makes it quick and easy. For type of bait your after.

If your cheap like me and don't want to buy a bunch of trays, I've been keeping them in the original bags and throwing them in the little B.A.S.S. tackle bags they give you for renewing. It's not as organized as most of the ideas i've seen already, but it works for me. That being said I don't have nearly as many as Steve, I've filled almost three of the bags now and have them organized to where I can find what I need rather quickly.

My 2 cents
1. If you decide to go to the boxes, I would suggest the Bass Mafia boxes because of the waterproof seal and 4 clasp fastening design.
2. I like and use 1 gallon and 2 gallon freezer ziplock bags. I separate my baits like most but I also know that I can get more baits in my lockers using bags versus boxes.

I'm cheap, and I don't have a big boat. I keep them in the original bags, organize those bags into large zip-lock bags, place the zip-lock bags in a big mesh bag (not sure where I got it, it was in the garage) and take the mesh bag with me when I go. When I am ready for a new plastic, I dump the mesh bag on the floor of the boat and sift through them, it works for me.
Hey--we finally caught one! dwjimages.smugmug.com
