Hi All,

Going to Cooper next weekend with the family and curious what campground is better; Sulphur or Doctors. I'll be tent camping with the wife and kid. Looking for some guidance from prior guests of the parks. I'm guessing the lake is up enough to bring the boat too? Oh any recommendations on where to find hungry fish this time of year. roflmao I have never been to Cooper.

Thanks in advance,

Id say the parks were equal, lake is up plenty and look for shallow points for feeding hybrids thumb

I always liked Sulfur better.

I'm guessing, but I would say that the lake is still very muddy and the fish aren't going to bite with those conditions. Years ago I took a trip there to stay for 3 days. Spent 30 minutes on the lake and then went to Tawakoni.

GFN is right. Lake is very muddy and they are slow biting.

Sulfur +2.
If you like drinking beer be careful at Dr. They have a park ranger that hunts for beer drinkers. Check the humps and points on the east side of the lake always seem to catch a few there in the spring.

Both parks are nice. South Sulphur site are a little more private and heavy foliage. Dr's is a little more open and actually more popular probably because it's close to Cooper for grocery and restaurants. All boat ramps should be open except Johns Creek. Think you will enjoy either SP.

All ramps are open. Very muddy. South Sulphur is nicer due to the up keep. They have more for the kids like playground, canoes.

South sulphur and I would guess if you can find the flats that are probably about 5-6 feet deep, you may find hybrids. With all the water that little lake has caught, I'm sure it is still pretty muddy water.

2 feet low and very muddy. Plenty of water. All ramps are open finally. South Sulphur for me. Take the kids for a drive at night and see all the deer. We drive over there sometimes just to see them.
