Kernan should get the check and AOY points Tietje earned by getting to fish on Saturday, imo. His fish from the first day added to his second day and he still would have finished 32nd although the check would remain the same. More points towards angler of the year and the Classic. Tietge should get the points he earned for finishing where he was after day two, with Mike's 10 pounds put back in.

Did he solicit, receive or gather information from someone other than another competitor? Are you asserting that he and the guy posting the sign were somehow in cahoots?

FB said his 12th place finish was restored in both points and money.

Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

All of us here at Richmond Communications Group, Inc. are proud to be associated with Mike Kernan. His level of his sportsmanship and professionalism during the unfortunate situation has only furthered our commitment to Mikes success on the Elite Series Tour for 2015.

Glad he won the appeal. He never shoukd have been DQ'd
Skeet said on Facebook he had also caught his fish in an area then got ran off because he was told it was private. I was scratching my head, wondering why Mikes weight was DQ'd and not Skeets for doing the same thing.
Glad everything turned out for Mike and hope he has a great season ahead of him!

Glad for Mike this went his way. Hopefully, B.A.S.S. will do something about what led to this mess

The local community will take a hit too whereas BASS will most likely not return to this venue because of this situation......unclear boundaries and such.....then adding to the fire embarrassing shenanigans.

http://www.bassfan.com/opinion_article.asp?ID=1310#.VRQ23PzF-SoI'm happy for Kernan and glad BASS did the right thing. I lost a lot of respect for the angler that protested. He's supposed to be the local favorite and has bombed in both Sabine River events. Only way he could get inside the cut was to pull this BS. Pitiful sportsmanship. I'd be willing to bet that the canal that got "posted" on Day 2 was done so by a friend of the guy who protested. But we'll probably never know. Zero respect for "that guy" Sometimes the weight of carrying around something you did wrong can be too much handle!
